Harvesting Crops

Yes, instead of being out on a Friday night I am currently harvesting crops on my farm! What does this mean? Yes, I have succumbed once again to the games on Facebook. Farmville 2 made its debut recently and I am now playing. Let me take you back to late 2008 when FarmTown and Farmville hit the Facebook world. I didn't think much of it but my decided I would give it a try. My competitive nature kicked in and before you knew it, I had been sucked into the imaginary wold of farming. So much so that you had to remember when you planted your crops so you could harvest them in time without them wilting! Since my husband and I are both very competitive, we both would try to kick each other off the computer so we could level up faster than the other! It was a crazy fad for the two of us.
Can we compare the crazy addictive games on FB to the fads we grew up, it would make me feel better if we did! Garbage Pal kids cards? Slap Bracelets, Pogs, Tamagachi....the list could go on. I don't know what I find so interesting about these games. I accomplish small little goals, design my homestead in a cute way and I plant crops. Oh my word how ridiculous am I?? As I describe this game to you I am laughing at myself! Oh well....better to have a life of nonsense and laughter than a serious one! Let me know if you decide to join the Farmville world, I need some neighbors! ♥

La Luna

When I was younger I use to have a telescope and stare up into the night skies. There were many nights I would grab a blanket and gaze into the beauty of the heavens. It is the dreamer in me, you can often catch me day dreaming. I am so thankful our imaginations and the places it can take us. The moon for example, so far away yet it looks like we can reach up towards the sky and grab it. Right now I can think of so many classic songs which reference the moon and so many movie clips and/or commercials with moon references as well. This blog is dedicated to that big bright ball of cheese in the sky!

Andy Williams passed away recently his version of Moon River is actually in my top 10 favorite songs. It can make me stop in my tracks when I hear it. Simply beautiful.

I heart this scene from Its a Wonderful Life!

Oh who can forget Fievel singing Somewhere Out There?

Or the Classic McDonalds Moon Man from the 80's?

Hope you enjoyed this little tribute to the moon! Remember to say Goodnight Moon ♥
